Take care of yourself—physically, psychologically, and spiritually—as though you intend to live forever. Yet hold nothing in this world too tightly. Let no possession, position, pleasure, or person gain such a grip on your heart that you cannot release it when the time comes.

Receive every blessing with gratitude, but hold it with open hands, remembering that it could be gone in the next moment—or that you could be gone in the next moment.

Live each day as though it may be your last, yet labor each day as one determined to leave a legacy that will outlive generations. Build wisely. Love deeply. Serve faithfully. Invest eternally.

The truth is that none of us will be here forever. Life is a stewardship—temporary in duration, yet eternal in significance. Every breath, every opportunity, every relationship, every resource entrusted to us is a sacred trust for which we shall one day give account.

And when all things are weighed in the balances of eternity, the eternal will always outweigh the temporal. Eternity is longer than time, weightier than circumstance, and more valuable than every fleeting treasure this world can offer.

On the days when you are called to choose between what is temporary and what is eternal—and I pray such days are few and far between—choose the eternal.

Choose your relationship with God.

Choose kindness over cruelty.

Choose mercy over judgment.

Choose charity over selfishness.

Choose forgiveness over resentment.

Choose liberality over greed.

Choose love over pride.

For when the curtain falls on time, it is not what we possessed that will matter most, but who we became, whom we served, and what we invested in eternity.
